The Leapfrog Leapster Multimedia Learning System is designed with children in mind it is quite sustainable. Stories in forums and blogs abound of systems that have accidentally dropped several times without effect on system performance, but do not quote me on that J.
As a parent, If I buy something for my son to the mail I know it can be placed in a safe place and that my son knows he has a special place to live when not in use. Not only with toys like the Leapster cartridges that are exchanged regularly I know that the cartridges are not floating somewhere under the bed collecting dust on sensitive sites.
When traveling in vehicles, aircraft or through the city just a carrying case holds everything together so that no last-minute registrations, under the seats trains or buses for additional accessories.
Leapfrog (and other brands) have a number of cases specifically designed for transport not only the system Leapster hand, but a number of cartridges as well. Designed to be lightweight, not to impose a child with too much weight, which offer minimal protection for the system. If the device is removed then sealed in the case, then it will be protected from all but the largest decrease.
The cases also provide protection to the central LCD screen, a problem known to all systems handheld, regardless of the call age. As the screen is the main source of interaction between system and user, who must be protected. If a child can not see the game because of scratches, then the console is useless.
The cases come in different colors and styles. Invariably, there are corresponding case roses for the Leapster pink / purple and blue in the case, the model blue / green, for those interested in gender relations in color.
For families with a lifestyle more resistant or children simply more robust, there are difficult cases to protect the system and store a number of accessories. More concerned with weight and portability can opt for mild cases that provide protection against accidental drops.
Whatever the case, you choose, a case is recommended to protect your Leapfrog Leapster Multimedia Learning System for years to come.
