Old Time Radio Comedy Shows
Who does not love a good laugh from time to time? Have you ever tried to listen to the radio of yesteryear? If you like good comedy, then you're lucky. There are many programs on the radio fun of yesteryear.
One of my favorites is "" Father Knows Best. The father's role is actually played by Robert Young, who starred in the television series of the same name. Sometimes I find myself dying of laughter the antics of the Anderson family. All the comic situations that occur are so smart and funny. If you liked the TV series, I think you'll really enjoy the radio version. The series began in 1949 on NBC Radio and sponsored by General Foods. The show took place on Thursday night and lasted until 1954.
The other big show of old radio comedy "The Bickersons." It is a comedy radio began in 1946 on NBC, then the following year to CBS worked until 1951. The show is very funny. This is a couple has always argued about almost everything. The exchange of verbal blows whistle is real. The couple is played by Don Ameche and Frances Langford. They do an excellent job in office. You do not want to miss this show.
Or how about "Fiber McGee and Molly." This series lasted from 1935-1959, one of the oldest comedy shows in the history of the old radio days. Even after the radio has ceased to be the main form of entertainment in the United States, this show was still running, because of its enormous popularity. This was one of the shows most popular days of the radio. This is a situation comedy that will surely make you laugh. The sample was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1989.
Another of my favorites is the most popular "Abbott and Costello. One can not help laughing at this pair of friends who are always finding in awkward situations where they go. The most famous parodies that called for "which is the first". This is one of the most listened comedy routines of history. They own their week from 1942. The show was sponsored by Camel cigarettes.
No discussion the comedy would not be complete without mentioning the old radio Amos and Andy. What popular show has been this time. Worked since 1938 until the early 50s. It was the adventures of two friends who have moved to the city "great" to begin a new life for themselves. Of course, you have been found in the funniest situations you laughing throughout the show.
