Ok, so this is the product I needed and adapt as it should. I have my XM through my music. The problems are that the instructions are horrible. I had to do a lot better. The programming is a chore, but just follow the instructions left to the other reviewer below and through. You need to know how to use a computer a little, but if your installation thereof, I think you should be able to follow these instructions.

The other thing missing from the instructions that the son is yellow and black, leaving the cable required adapter must be connected to the power and ground (I use Audiovox Car adapter Cable Alpine CNPALP1 NP2000UC). Nowhere mode manual does not even mention these cables! I had to do Internet searches to ensure that this was not the problem when on (as I did not hang the son of nothing.)

Therefore, if this is the product you need, then do not work and you'll receive XM if everything is done correctly. But do not expect to rely on the instructions provided by Audiovox! They need to fix their books before selling the product!

A very well for 3 weeks

I have this receiver for use with a new Sony satellite ready AM / FM / CD cover (CDXGT630UI) I bought to replace a string factory stereo. CNPSON1 XM adapter (also bought on Amazon) is also required to use the XM radio with the cap.

Since I bought cover at BestBuy, I had to install this card and the XM radio and coverage, and I could not be happier. I can change the font on the cover of "XM" and I'm able to watch channels from XM and created three banks of presets XM channel. The CNP2000UC worked perfectly with no problems during the month of installation.

Since the adapter and the XM receiver is installed behind the dashboard, no lighter plug-ins for radio XM and no loitering disgraceful son, as he had previously with XM "Roady2" add-on. It was certainly worth a purchase – I am happy to recommend to anyone who wants a clean install of XM radio and easier to use.

** UPDATE ** The XM has worked well for 22 days after it was installed professionally, while I drove the highway, the sound of radio has been abruptly replaced by a buzz. If you change channels, which can still be seen on the screen of my Sony CD is the song I should play in the XM channel. Therefore, the XM is at least still get a signal. Audiovox I contacted support and they told me to try re-flashing (reprogramming) radio, which, of course, means to pull the cover and XMDirect2 radio off the board. Audiovox support says it could * * Solve the problem, but again Maybe not. In other words, the radio can operate for a while and then died – again. Meanwhile, I'll have to pay Best Buy to remove / Reinstall at least once, most likely, a second time.

Audiovox support says that if re-flashing the unit will not solve the problem, should contact them to arrange a return. Of course, this does not inspire any confidence that I will not have the same problem with the unit replacement. My advice for buyers: keep an outboard motor, portable XM unit. The son of a cigarette lighter adapter and an XM antenna may be a need for a unit Portable XM ugly, but at least not having to pay multiple times the installer to install and replace defective products. How to set the CPN2000UC

Ok here's the real way to do this work,

1. By loading the software directly from XM [...]

2. Connect your CNP2000UC (The adapter XM), the team should be prompted to install the software.
– Choose the second option "Install from a list or location specific (Advanced) "and click Next
– Click the box that says "Include this location in search" and browse or type the path "C: Program Files XM Direct 2" and click Next
– Whether you allow the Commission v3 Universal XM programming you need.

3. Now the hard part not to use instructions that appear when you click the shortcut that is installed on your desktop. Go instead to my computer C:> Program Files> XM Direct 2> usbprog
Use the "usbprog" for your unit.

4. You may have to use the Direct Select File option if the list of the car stereo models is much more to be displayed on the screen, if you do so you need is: Computer> C:> Program Files> XM Direct 2 Car Audio>> YourBrand> YourModel

Once the blue bar runs in the bottom of the window usbprog then your unit is scheduled! To confirm click the verification model PIA Read button to display the date and time of the last hour of the programming.

If you find this useful instructons would copy and paste them, I reprogrammed mine three times and think it is the average Annual work of this issue requires.
