Just what is wireless and convergence …. Can you really enjoy?

The term "Wireless Convergence" seems to be fashionable … TechnoGeek at least with the crowd. But what is this strange animal … and hope is never "great" for the average Joe?

Wireless convergence, from a customer point of view, means that:

"I have a device (handheld, portable, mobile, ..) without cables. This device is able to connect to the best wireless network (WiFi, WiMax, GPRS, 3G, HSDPA). I can fully consolidated product (music, video, messaging) they purchased, but the service is tailored to the performance of my device (CPU, memory, storage) and network performance: it is "seamless.

While This implies:

– Advanced features. The question then is: Which player in the market is the natural supplier for this device? Is it a phone salesman mobile or consumer electronics retailer or a seller's computer or PDA? Apple, HTC, Nokia, Samsung, Philips, everyone has a different opinion.

The aim is to enable wireless convergence with a single wireless device to interact seamlessly across multiple wireless networks. Obviously, this means that is capable of sending the same bits on various types of wireless networks.

This is a rather utopian dream if the spectrum of wireless communication is considered complete and all types of wireless networks. There are so many technical problems that will probably never be made.

Interestingly, there are many multi-radio devices available on the market today. But do not fall into this category, as the radios are used for different purposes. Therefore, the best way of seeing things is to examine and similar competing technologies, but find a way to convergence.

In fact, there is no such thing as wireless convergence.

Media Transmission define the material is used to enable connectivity service …. and may be wired or wireless.

Existing services and applications can be carried through devices that operate in these wired and wireless networks …. that, when used with a device may presume to offer an NGN but in reality what we propose is the adjustment terminals.

And it is the convergence of industry-specific applications with the terminal device adaptation.

When we talk about convergence, wireless often mean the things mentioned above. Also they say some form of rf device multi-mode changing between layers of RF devices in some intelligent direction, but not the wireless convergence.

No, no wireless convergence. It was conceived as many of Administration advisory period to describe many different phenomena, but in general it is preferable to describe each phenomenon (and its case separately) instead of encapsulating a topic of convergence.

To understand the convergence of wireless technology, it is logical to think what happened to services fixed line.

First thread was strictly voice, with some improvements in the service (caller ID, voice mail, etc) that the Internet has changed and soon we began our search for wired connections to do more. At the beginning of fixed network services providers, including AOL and CompuServe, provided that the completed application and content to users. Users were charged for the use minutes for these services. As fixed telephony evolved, the ISP has changed their suppliers content and application, just the ISP connection. The working model of an application on the machine to access the Internet (eg AOL software) has declined further and almost everything in the device (PC) began to use the connection. The first, as the use of fixed telephone intake is now complete VoIP service transition to become a hotspot and nothing else.

Wireless development is the result of this parallel, which are providers of vendor mobile services, but they are the network providers. Is used per minute for mobile services, but offer unlimited plans for many months now. The service platform swallows as a tendency toward device platforms smart-phone style. Not we need mMode, HomeDecks, and other launch platforms that mimic AOL 90.

In my opinion, convergence is complete when you buy just a wireless device to connect, and you have the right to choose their own voice (and other services) wing car sellers. Although cross device technology (GSM / WIFI / WIMAX) are part of evolution, I do not think are necessary for convergence. And contrary to what some may say, the UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) is an excellent example of the transfer of different network topologies that exist today.

So in my opinion, the most serious obstacle to convergence is not the technology, the companies concerned. It is very hard to set aside the model Service as usual when the margins are higher for the supplier. But is the price of the combination of technological change with money. Someone must pay for all our new toys.

Convergence is at the end of the day, a user access to any any content on any device on any network anywhere. With platforms for next-generation services that sit at the intersection of networks, applications, OSS / BSS, and subscribers, we are approaching. There are a work is carried out outside the IMS (Another long story) that works to standardize environmental services for the interoperability of the network or platform. Of course, This means that the subscriber data is seamlessly across networks and platforms, and is accessible by the application vendors thirds are found in association with service providers. OTT / UGC is another matter, not related to convergence, but also in the business model.

Convergence is here but not in time, form, shape or form that is 100% our way of thinking to come here. About the Author

How to find the wireless headset? What is the best, infrared, RF, or Bluetooth wireless headset?

How to Search in the helmet without thread? What is the best, infrared, RF, or Bluetooth wireless headset?

It's a good question. In my opinion, the best wireless headphones have the best his early and infrared technology is better than the radio-frequency and Bluetooth. Because putting pressure on the skull helmet, the best designs are lightweight, adjustable and comfortable. If you can, try the helmet before you buy.
